Over the course of 35 years, Rick Carruthers' knowledge of finance and residential development and construction, his grasp of markets and trends, and his knack for strategic planning and forecasting have significantly contributed to the success of several of the housing industry's most accomplished public and private companies.

Rick is known throughout the United States as a talented real estate executive experienced in start-ups, turnarounds and growth ventures. He has skillfully managed multi-state developer/builder organizations with major communities encompassing up to 4,000 homes annually and staffs numbering more than 350 people.

Rick joined Peachtree Communities as CEO after filling several leadership positions at KB Home, most recently as Executive Vice President, East Region. His tenure at KB Home was marked by consistent organizational performance at levels meeting or exceeding corporate objectives. As Regional General Manager, Florida, he led five divisions that generated $1.1 billion in annual revenue, while recording a customer satisfaction rating of 97%.

In his career, Rick also has held leadership positions at John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods (President of Atlanta Homebuilding), Atlantic Homes of Florida (General Partner); Hooker Barnes Homes (Division President); and U.S. Home (Division President).

Rick's education has emphasized business and management, having earned both a B.S., Business and an M.B.A. Through his varied experience with several major housing companies under every economic condition, he has developed expertise in all industry disciplines as well as a vision of housing's future and the path to it. And as an active participant in industry associations, he has built both a professional network and reputation that bring resources and substance to Peachtree Communities.

In a 30-year career that includes national and regional sales and marketing management positions with several of America's largest and best builders, Tom Justice has earned a reputation as one of the nation's leading experts on market analysis, product design, and new home salesmanship.

Known throughout the real estate community as a forceful advocate for forthright selling practices, Tom is particularly adept at identifying, negotiating, and acquiring attractively priced and desirably located land and developed lots, then matching them to homes designed to appeal to buyers and their price points. He also has a keen eye for analyzing profit/loss statements, warranty claims experience and sales results.

Tom is a proven communicator, whose ability to structure, recruit, train, motivate and retain sales forces has been showcased at several organizations. In his previous position as President of Legacy Communities, the largest single-family home builder in Atlanta during the mid-2000's, that company recorded annual sales up to 1,750 homes. At Ryland Homes, where he was Vice President, Sales & Marketing, his Phoenix division exceeded sales objectives by 20% each year under his direction. At John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, where he served as Corporate Vice President, Sales & Marketing, division sales increased 46%.

Tom, who holds a B.P.S., Communications, is an accomplished salesperson in his own right. Launching his career in the mid-1980's as a successful sales representative with Pulte Homes in Orlando, he moved quickly into management. Since then, he has trained over 7,000 sales professionals, earning recognition by Builder Magazine as one of the nation's leading new home sales trainers. He has received awards for sales and sales management from the Home Builders Associations of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Memphis and Orlando. He is an active member of the National Association of Home Builders and its Sales and Marketing Council and an annual speaker at NAHB conventions.

Rick Thompson started in the Atlanta homebuilding industry 25 years ago. He is a 1983 graduate of West Georgia College. He began his career with Pulte Homes as a builder in charge of neighborhood operations in numerous communities. After 4 years of hands on experience, he moved forward in his career as Regional Construction Manager for L.J. Hooker Homes. Rick oversaw a staff of 15 construction managers while building over 700 homes annually from 1987-1991. As his career continued he was offered the prestigious position of Vice President of Construction for D.R. Horton Homes. He managed over 125 construction and quality assurance personnel. He was responsible for 1000-1300 closings annually from 1992-2002. As his career progressed he became the Vice President of Production for Legacy Communities in Atlanta, Georgia. There he closed 1500 -1700 homes annually. He was an integral part of the senior management team of the 2009 National Builder of the Year Award Winner. Rick then became Regional President for Crown Communities for 2010 and 2011. There he led the team from not only successful operations in Atlanta, but other southeastern markets as well. His many talents include the following: reduced cycle time, negotiating favorable terms with vendors, engage construction to drive quality built homes and Rick has been a team leader in all of his above positions for Quality Assurance. Rick's goal at Peachtree Communities is to provide high quality homes to all customers.
